Fake Delivery Calls and Texts (USPS, FedEx, UPS)

A message says a package couldn't be delivered and asks you to confirm details or pay a small fee. The link or number leads to the scammer.

What it looks like

A text or voicemail says "your package is on hold," "address incomplete," or "pay a redelivery fee." The link goes to a page that looks like a delivery company and asks for card details, a login or personal information. Sometimes the message asks you to call a number instead.

How to check a real package

  1. Don't tap the link or call the number in the message.
  2. Open the carrier's own website or app (type the address yourself) and enter the tracking number from your order confirmation.
  3. If you're expecting nothing, there's nothing to check. Delete the message.
  4. For real support, use the numbers on USPS, FedEx or UPS in our official list.

Forward scam texts to 7726 (SPAM). It's free and your carrier uses the reports to block senders.
