If a call claiming to be Amazon surprises you
Stores and tech companies don't cold-call to say your account is hacked or your computer is infected. Be wary of any number you found from a search ad or pop-up. Read the guide on tech support scams.
Scammers can fake caller ID, so a call that shows this number may still not be from Amazon. Amazon may also call you from numbers that aren't listed here. If you didn't expect the call, hang up and call back on a number you trust.
