If a call claiming to be Allstate surprises you
An insurer may call about your policy, but it won't threaten to cancel it unless you pay by gift card or give your login. Read the guide on caller id spoofing.
Scammers can fake caller ID, so a call that shows this number may still not be from Allstate. Allstate may also call you from numbers that aren't listed here. If you didn't expect the call, hang up and call back on a number you trust.
